How it All Began:
It all began when Virgil was 11 years old in 1993 on a Southern Illinois Turkey Farm. He was one of 5 brothers, and Dad was a farmer who was looking to employ his boys in a family business.
For Mother’s day May of ’93 Dad presented mom with a wooden pressure treated picnic table
(that he had constructed) as a Mother’s Day Present.
Mom then suggested that Dad start building Picnic Tables for others. Thus began Dad’s business of Pine Tree Woodshop which launched the process of building projects from tables to chairs, rockers to gliders, swings to arbors, Gazebos to Pergolas, Decks, Fences and on to general construction of all sorts.
Virgil grew up through his early teens building all sorts of different products. In his early twenties he employed several Amish Crews building pole barns, Garages, and Barn Dominium’s. After several years of pole barns he transitioned to general manager of his Dad’s business -Pine Tree Woodshop-.
In 2019 Virgil and Family moved from Southern Illinois to Route 5 east of Freeport in North East, PA. After a 5 yr tenure in the Printing Business. The years in Construction and Outdoor living products was calling again. Thus Stewardship Contractors llc was founded in 2024.

Honor the Lord and Our Savior Jesus Christ in all we do and say each day. Provide excellence and Stewardship of all the time, talents, and resources that we’ve been given.Although we enjoy working out of doors building fencing, decks, and structures. Snow country give us the opportunity to continue developing our talents in general contracting and general remodeling. We enjoy tackling those interesting and custom jobs that are unique and take some thinking outside the box to accomplish. Rustic wood and especially reclaimed wood projects are very welcome.
